A bronze sculpture of two crossed hands frozen in PSY's horse-riding dance pose, 5.3 m tall and 8.3 m wide, installed by Gangnam-gu in front of COEX in 2016. Motion sensors trigger the song and lights when visitors approach, so you can dance along and film it. Free, outdoors and open at all hours, a couple of minutes from Samseong Station.

The four-storey Cheongdam-dong building that was JYP Entertainment's home until the company moved to Gangdong-gu in 2018. This is where TWICE were formed through the survival show 'Sixteen' and released their earliest music, and where DAY6 and GOT7 also debuted. JYP no longer occupies it, so it is an exterior-only history stop about a 10-minute walk from Cheongdam Station Exit 9.

A roughly 1 km walking route through Apgujeong and Cheongdam lined with 'GangnamDol' art-toy bear statues, each decorated for a different K-pop group. It is free, open 24 hours, and doubles as a stroll past the luxury boutiques and entertainment offices of the Gangnam entertainment district. The most popular photo stop for first-time K-pop visitors to Seoul.

A three-floor permanent K-pop complex inside COEX Artium: a large album, light-stick and merchandise shop on 2F, one-day K-pop dance and vocal classes on 3F, and a rotating pop-up and comeback event hall on 4F. Entry is free and it is one of the easiest places in Seoul to buy official albums for almost any group.

A laundromat-themed pizza restaurant in Gangnam whose washing-machine wall became a recognisable backdrop in TWICE's 'SIGNAL' music video. The interior has also been used for K-pop photo shoots by other groups. It is an ordinary working restaurant, so visit as a paying customer during opening hours.

The Gangnam headquarters of P NATION, the label PSY founded in 2018 after 'Gangnam Style' made him a global name, and home to artists such as Jessi, HyunA and Crush. It stands in the Sinsa area near Garosu-gil, so it fits neatly into a Sinsa shopping walk. A working office, best appreciated from the street.

The Cheongdam-dong building that served as SM Entertainment's headquarters through EXO's rise in the 2010s, and one of the most photographed agency buildings in Gangnam for years. SM has since moved to Seongsu-dong and another agency now occupies the building, so there is nothing to see inside, but the address remains a well-known stop on Gangnam K-pop walking routes near Cheongdam Station. Combine it with nearby K-Star Road for a single afternoon.

This is a working office and is not open to the public, so photos should be taken from the street only.

The pedestrian street outside Hongik University where cover-dance crews and buskers perform K-pop routines free of charge, most reliably on weekend evenings. Many performers are pre-debut trainees or dance-school students, and several well-known idols were street-cast in this area. Surrounded by cafes, indie shops and photo-booth studios.

BTS filmed Run BTS! episodes 86 to 88, the Hangul Day specials, across this converted oil depot behind World Cup Stadium. Five decommissioned petroleum tanks now hold exhibition halls, a performance space and a glass-walled cafe, with raw concrete and rock faces left exposed. Entry to the grounds is free.

BLACKPINK filmed part of their reality series BLACKPINK HOUSE in this Hongdae building, back when it operated as a Hello Kitty cafe. It now runs as a two-floor Sanrio cafe and gift shop, each area themed to a different character, with a plush-filled photo room upstairs. The ground-floor shop and gachapon area need no booking; the upstairs cafe does.

The Seongsu-dong dance studio behind many viral K-pop choreography videos, home to choreographers such as Lia Kim. Its ViBE one-day programme is designed for visitors, with English-speaking instructors and no experience required. Advance booking is recommended as classes fill quickly.

Cube Entertainment's headquarters near Seongsu Station, home agency of (G)I-DLE, PENTAGON and BTOB. The company moved here from Cheongdam-dong in 2016, and the building sits in the middle of the Seongsu-dong cafe and boutique district, so it combines easily with a neighbourhood walk. The offices are private; visitors should only photograph the exterior from the street.

A 1970s rice mill turned gallery-cafe-restaurant with raw brick walls and indoor gardens, featured in BIGBANG's 'FXXK IT' music video. It became the symbol of Seongsu-dong's warehouse-conversion boom and still serves coffee, pasta and craft beer among the art installations. Free to walk in; order something to sit down.

Seoul city government created this small garden with j-hope's fan club in 2023, between the central pond and the water playground. Its 20 square metres hold more than 18 species of trees and flowers plus the J-Bench, shaped like the letter J, and a plaque with lyrics from "Equal Sign" and a QR code linking to his music. Other benches scattered around Seoul Forest carry the other members' names.

SM Entertainment's flagship official store, named after 'KWANGYA', the fictional world at the centre of aespa's storyline. Located on the basement level of SM's Seongsu headquarters, it stocks albums, light sticks, photo cards and merchandise for aespa, NCT, EXO, Red Velvet, RIIZE and other SM artists. There is also an album-and-lightstick tunnel display and an AR experience zone, and it is about a five-minute walk from Seongsu Station.

SM Entertainment's global headquarters, occupying the D Tower of the Acro Seoul Forest complex in trendy Seongsu-dong since July 2021. It is the creative home of aespa, NCT, RIIZE, Red Velvet, EXO and the wider SMTOWN family. The building itself is a working office, but the lobby-level branding walls and the official store in the basement are open to visitors, and Seoul Forest park is a short walk away.

A former printing house reopened in 2014 as a cafe and gallery, and one of the Seongsu-dong spots tied to BIGBANG's 'FXXK IT' music video. Exposed concrete, fresh flowers and handmade furniture make it a favourite sit-down stop on the Seongsu walk. It is a two-minute walk from Daelim Changgo, so the two are usually visited together.

The former Seoul City Hall building, now a public library facing Seoul Plaza, whose tiered 'Thinking Living Room' staircase appears in PSY's 'GENTLEMAN' music video. The 1926 structure keeps many original interior details, and entry is free. Combine it with Deoksugung Palace directly across the road.

Opened in September 2023, this is the only official BTS merchandise store operating inside a duty-free shop. The floor stocks BTS magazines, plush dolls, figures, magnets, puzzles, cross bags and keyrings while BTS music and videos play throughout. It sits on the 11th floor of the Shinsegae Myeongdong building, a short walk from Myeongdong Station.

SEVENTEEN's vocal unit filmed an episode of the V LIVE show Where Is My Friend's Home at this bakery cafe in the lanes above Itaewon. It is a normal working bakery rather than a fan shop, so expect bread and coffee rather than merchandise. The Gyeongnidan-gil neighbourhood around it is full of small independent cafes.

This small island under Hangang Bridge appears in the "Run" music video and was later used for BTS's 2021 Season's Greetings photo shoot. Once a forgotten sandbank, it reopened as a riverside culture complex with bookshops, live-music venues and open decks over the Han River. It is an easy walk from Noryangjin Station and best at dusk when the bridge lights come on.

Weverse Shop's permanent offline store inside I'Park Mall in Yongsan, selling official artist merchandise and random 'lucky draw' goods that are normally online-only. It reopened in an expanded form in March 2026. Handy for fans who want to collect merchandise in person rather than order internationally.

This modern hanbok house in the quiet lanes behind Gyeongbokgung made the outfits BLACKPINK wore in the "How You Like That" music video, using phoenix patterns drawn from royal Joseon textiles. The video sent global attention to contemporary hanbok almost overnight. The atelier is a working shop where visitors can see and buy the label's designs.

In September 2020 BTS performed "IDOL" in hanbok in the forecourt of Geunjeongjeon Hall and "Mikrokosmos" in front of Gyeonghoeru Pavilion for NBC's The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The group had already performed at Heungnyemun Gate for a KBS music show back in 2015. Both stages are part of the standard visitor route through Korea's main Joseon palace. Seoul's main Joseon-dynasty royal palace, founded in 1395, and one of the Seoul locations NCT 127 filmed at for their 'Fact Check' music video and album visuals. Beyond the K-pop connection it is the city's most-visited heritage site, with the changing of the guard ceremony and the National Palace Museum on site. Admission is free if you arrive wearing hanbok.

A 1960s multi-use arcade complex in central Seoul, once the country's electronics hub and now a regenerated maker and cafe district with elevated walkways. NCT 127 filmed here for 'Fact Check' and ate kong-guksu at one of the arcade's restaurants afterwards. The rooftop deck gives a free view over Jongno and toward Namsan.

Seoul's flagship indoor concert venue, holding around 15,000 people, and the arena most K-pop groups use for their Seoul comeback and tour dates. Built for the 1988 Seoul Olympics and set inside Olympic Park, so the surrounding park makes an easy pre-concert walk. About 10 minutes on foot from Mongchontoseong Station Exit 1.

A Korean history museum built into the Lotte World complex at Jamsil, with miniature dioramas and a recreated traditional market street. Stray Kids filmed a hanbok episode of their official YouTube series SKZ CODE here. It is a self-contained indoor attraction, so it works well as a rainy-day stop combined with Lotte World Tower.

A colourful three-storey cultural complex built from stacked shipping containers in northern Seoul, opened in 2016. Most of TWICE's 'SIGNAL' music video was shot here, and the bright container facades are instantly recognisable from the video. It houses studios, shops and performance spaces and is a short walk from Nowon or Changdong Station.

A university campus known for its European-style Peace Hall, grand library and open-air amphitheatre, which have served as backdrops for music videos including BLACKPINK's 'AS IF IT'S YOUR LAST', 2PM's 'Promise (I'll be)' and Apink's 'Only One'. The campus is a well-known spring cherry-blossom spot and is open to visitors on foot. Please stay outside academic buildings and respect students during term time.

JYP Entertainment's headquarters since 2018, a striking glass building in Seongnae-dong near Olympic Park. It is the working home of Stray Kids as well as TWICE, ITZY, NMIXX, DAY6 and 2PM, and the exterior is a standard photo stop for JYP fans visiting Seoul. The offices are not open to the public, so treat it as an outside-only landmark and pair it with a walk through nearby Olympic Park.

A riverside stretch of Han River park used for the outdoor yoga scene in PSY's 'Gangnam Style'. It is a free public park with bike rental, convenience stores and instant-ramyeon machines, and it is busiest at sunset. Reached directly from Ttukseom Resort Station on Line 7.

A former gold mine turned into a theme-park-like cave attraction filled with coloured lighting, media art and an underground lake. Red Velvet's Irene & Seulgi filmed the 'Naughty' music video inside, and the glowing tunnels in the video are the cave's main passages. It stays cool year-round, so bring a light jacket even in summer; it is about 40 minutes from Seoul.

An abandoned amusement park that closed in 2011 and now operates as a retro photo studio, famous for its still-lit carousel. TWICE filmed their debut music video 'Like OOH-AHH' here, and the park has since appeared in videos and photo books for many other artists. Entry costs a small fee and the owner will switch the carousel lights on for photos; take the subway to Mangu Station Exit 1.

A glass cultural complex floating on the Han River at Jamwon Hangang Park, opened in 2020 and home to Seoul's first floating Starbucks. NCT DOJAEJUNG held their debut launch show and press event here in April 2023, performing and unveiling their performance videos on site. The riverside deck is free to walk and is a popular sunset spot.

BTS filmed their episode of the talk show You Quiz on the Block among the hanok halls of this private museum on the slope above Seongbuk-dong. The collection holds around 2,500 pieces of Joseon furniture inside ten relocated traditional houses, with the city skyline visible from the courtyards. Visits are by advance reservation and guided tour only.

A photo of BTS holding a roof tile inscribed "BTS Daebak" turned this seaside temple on Seongmodo Island into a fan pilgrimage. Visitors write wishes on paper and hang them around the dragon statue; the temple gathers them and prays over them after 100 days. The hillside carving of Gwaneum above the halls looks out over the West Sea.

Built for the 2014 Asian Games, this 29,000-seat stadium is where NewJeans filmed the "Attention" music video, appearing both by daylight and under floodlights. Its sweeping white roofline and empty terraces have made it one of the most reused K-pop video locations in the country. SEVENTEEN's "BOOM BOOM" and TXT's "Magic" were also shot here. TXT filmed the bright, wide-open "Magic" music video in 2021 at this 2014 Asian Games stadium in western Incheon. The empty stands and curved white canopy give the video its airy, summer-holiday feel. The venue is a short walk from Asiad Stadium Station on Incheon Subway Line 2.

Korea's first purpose-built music arena, seating about 15,000, opened inside a resort complex on Yeongjong Island next to Incheon Airport. It hosts a steady stream of K-pop concerts and awards shows, and a free shuttle runs from the airport in roughly 15 minutes. Convenient for fans flying in specifically for a show.

The pink-columned stage where BLACKPINK dance in "As If It's Your Last" is this 6,500-seat open-air theatre, modelled on the ancient Theatre of Dionysus. Fans were startled to learn the Greek-temple backdrop was a Korean university campus rather than an overseas set. There is a lake behind the theatre and the grounds are open for walking.

Korea's largest historical open set is where SUGA filmed the "Daechwita" music video as Agust D, using the replica Injeongjeon throne hall and the Joseon-era prison set. The park recreates streets and palaces from the Three Kingdoms period through the Joseon dynasty and is open to paying visitors. Fans can stand in the exact courtyard where the king and the outlaw faced each other. Korea's largest permanent historical drama set, with full-scale Joseon-era palaces, streets and village alleys. Stray Kids filmed the traditional-meets-hip-hop 'Walkin On Water' music video here, and the same set has hosted countless sageuk dramas and other K-pop shoots. It is open to visitors with a modest admission fee, about an hour and a half from central Seoul.

A wooded public park south of Seoul that doubles as an open-air sculpture museum, with more than 50 works by Korean and international artists set among streams, an artificial waterfall and an outdoor stage. An award-winning cable-stayed bridge completed in 2018 that links central Chuncheon with Hajungdo island and Legoland Korea. Its silhouette forms the finale of TWICE's 'ONE SPARK' music video. Chuncheon is about an hour from Seoul on the ITX or Gyeongchun Line, making this an easy day trip that combines with the city's lakeside walks.

A large sports stadium north-west of Seoul used for outdoor scenes in TWICE's 'Cheer Up' music video, with its open green pitch and wide blue sky. The surrounding sports complex and park are freely accessible on non-event days. It is reachable on Subway Line 3 to Daehwa Station in about an hour from central Seoul.

A short road tunnel whose glossy tiled walls throw back light in long streaks, a look used in BIGBANG's 'BANG BANG BANG' and later in videos by MONSTA X and BTS. Fans visit to recreate the reflective-corridor shot. Cars still use the tunnel and the approach road is unpaved, so take care and do not stand in the roadway.

A sprawling European-style campus north of Seoul, built as an English immersion village and long a favourite K-pop shooting location. EXO filmed 'Miracles in December' here, and TWICE also shot part of 'Cheer Up' on the grounds. The site is open daily with free admission, so you can walk the same brick streets and courtyards seen in the videos.

The vintage theatre facade in ROSE's solo debut "On The Ground" is not a foreign film set but this old highway rest stop in Yangpyeong, dressed with lights and signage for the shoot.
